This page explains, in plain words, what information the trustmoses.com website collects, why we collect it, and what we will never do with it. If anything here is unclear, email us at hello@trustmoses.com. A person will read it.
Who we are
Moses is a product of Orca LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company also registered in South Carolina. On this page, “Moses,” “we,” and “us” mean Orca LLC.
The short version
- We only ask for what we need.
- We never sell your information.
- We do not share your information with other companies or businesses. The only exception is the few outside services listed below that help us run this website.
- You can ask us to delete your information at any time. We will do it within 30 days.
What this website collects
Moses is not open yet. Today, this website collects only the following.
1. The waitlist. If you join the waitlist, we keep your email address and the date you signed up. If you choose to give them, we also keep your ZIP or postal code, your country, and the language you want our emails in. We use your email only for updates about Moses. We use your ZIP or postal code and country to plan where to bring Moses help in the future, and your language choice to write to you in that language.
2. Ask Moses messages. The Ask Moses chat answers common questions with ready-made answers built into the page. Just asking questions saves nothing. If you choose “Send a message,” we save:
- your email address (required, so we can write back),
- your name, if you give it (optional),
- your message,
- the web page you were on, and
- the questions and answers from that chat (up to the last 30).
We use this only to answer you, by email from hello@trustmoses.com, and to improve the answers on our site.
3. Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to see how people use this site, for example how many people visit and which pages they look at. Google Analytics uses cookies, and Google receives basic details from your browser, such as the pages you view, your general location, and your device type. We never send your email address, ZIP or postal code, country, or messages to Google Analytics. When someone joins the waitlist, Analytics only records that a sign-up happened.
Your choice about Google Analytics. When you first visit, a notice at the bottom of the page tells you we use Google Analytics. If you choose “No thanks,” we turn Google Analytics off for this site in that browser, and your browser remembers your choice. If you clear your browser's saved data, or use a different device, the notice will ask again. You can change your choice any time with the “Analytics choice” button at the bottom of every page. You can also block cookies in your browser settings, or use Google's opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
4. Email to us. If you write to hello@trustmoses.com, we keep your email address and what you wrote so we can answer you.
5. House File address lookup. If you look up an address in the House File, that address is sent to OpenStreetMap’s geocoder to find the location. We keep the result in your House File only if you choose to save it. Homes in the Charleston, South Carolina area and in Carlisle or Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, may also be checked against free United States public maps. We do not buy address data. Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors.
6. Household bills in a House File. If you write down a household bill, we store it like other House File notes: who gets paid, how it is paid, when it is due, and which family member handles it. We never store a password, a PIN, or a full account number — at most the last 4 digits. Moses never pays a bill and never signs in to an account.
Outside services that help run the site
Like most small companies, we use a few outside services. They handle information only to do their job for us.
- Supabase stores the waitlist and Ask Moses messages.
- Google Analytics gives us site visit statistics (see above).
- Hostinger hosts the trustmoses.com website. Like most web hosts, it may keep basic technical records of visits, such as IP addresses.
- Our email provider handles messages sent to and from hello@trustmoses.com.
- OpenStreetMap receives the address you ask us to look up, so its geocoder can find the location. We do not send your name, email, or House File notes.
What we never do
- We never sell your information.
- We never share your information with other companies or businesses, except the services listed above.
- We never send your email address, ZIP or postal code, country, or messages to Google Analytics.
How long we keep it
- Waitlist: until Moses opens in your area and we have let you know, or until you ask us to remove you.
- Ask Moses messages: 12 months, then deleted.
- Emails to us: only as long as we need them to help you.
Seeing, fixing, or deleting your information
It's your information. Email hello@trustmoses.com and we will:
- tell you what we have about you,
- fix anything that is wrong,
- take you off the waitlist or stop launch emails, or
- delete your waitlist entry and your Ask Moses messages.
We will delete your information within 30 days of your request. We may need to check that a request really comes from you before we act on it.
Children
Moses is for adults who look after a home. This site is not meant for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you think a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
New features
Moses is still being built. If we add new features that collect more information, we will publish a fuller privacy policy before those features collect anything.
If this page changes
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the effective date at the top. Our Terms of Use explain the rules for using this site.
